Astoria's dining scene is a treasure trove! From the mouthwatering brisket at The Hot Box BBQ to the delightful sushi rolls at Tora Sushi Lounge, you'll be feasting like a king. Plus, the Norblad's warmth felt like home, and the cleanliness was top-notch—a real treat! The staff were friendly, adding a sprinkle of local charm.
We did have a hiccup at check-in—someone was already in our room, which felt a bit off. Nevertheless, the overall vibe was chill, and the staff's effort shined through despite that little bump.

Comfortable Stay with Unique Charm
My solo stay here was enjoyable, especially the cozy atmosphere by the fireplace. I appreciated the vintage feel of the building, but be prepared for limited electrical outlets near the bed. Consider opting for a room with an ensuite to avoid waiting for the shared bathroom!

exploring astoria's treasures just steps away from your room
During my stay, I discovered the vibrant Museum of Whimsy just a few steps away, and enjoyed the tranquil views at the Garden of Surging Waves, which made my city strolls truly special. the comfortable beds and delightful communal areas added a personal touch to my overall experience. As a solo traveler, the shared facilities were clean and well-maintained, perfect for meeting fellow explorers, but I would have liked a bit more lighting in the room.

Had an awesome stay with friends! We loved how close we were to hiking and biking trails for some adventure. The shared bathrooms were extremely clean, which made my experience way better than I expected. Fun vibe with record players available and friendly staff. Definitely recommend checking out the cool local breweries nearby!
Only downside was that the front desk staff seemed not very informed. When I asked about local coffee shops, the guy couldn’t provide much help at all.
